Welcome,
to web site of our traditional tavern!

"Krinaki", a "kanava" of 1832, (an area where wine was produced and stored), was turned into a traditional tavern by Christos Marcosane and Antonis Patelis.

"Krinaki" is situated at Finikia village, which is on top of the plains of Oia in Santorini. Finikia was always tied to the harvests of Santorini, since its people took care of the lands and the vineyards, the fava, the tomatoes, the eggplants, the zucchini, the vegetables that were produced every season, as well as the few trees of the island, mainly figs and some mulberries.

"Krinaki" has a unique relationship with the traditional agricultural products of this village. Dishes have always been created based on these products, such as fava, roasted eggplants with fresh tomato and fresh cheese, tomato balls with fresh mashed tomatoes, caper and caper leaves in salads, hirovoskos salad, herb salads, boiled kardamides, omelets with asparagus, fried mushrooms and plenty of other local dishes that you will find on the menu.
It would be unfair not to mention that "Krinaki" is like a refuge to vegetarians, since they have a great variety of choices.
None the less, a variety of meat dishes are grilled at "Krinaki"'s barbecue. Just to mention roasted lamb, kokoretsi, exohiko, kontosouvli, Greek dishes that are famous all over the world.

"Krinaki" also uses agricultural and dairy products from other areas of Greece that are famous for their quality, such as red peppers from Aridaia, deserts made of fruits from Naoussa, gruyeres cheese from Naxos and Crete, meat from Amorgos and Naxos, potatoes from Naxos, olive oil from Peloponnese and the local sausages from Mykonos.

The same thing applies also to the sweets and fruits, such as figs and prickly pears which are served chilled during August.

In its wine list you will find wines from many areas of Greece and mainly from Santorini, like the ancient varieties of Asyrtiko, Mantaria and Mavrotragano.
"Krinaki" is famous for its clean, swift, gentle and very personalized service in accordance to the wishes of its customers.

There, you feel at home, since the atmosphere is so friendly and cozy, that, quite often, all the customers merge into one group. The tunes are Greek, mostly rebetika and laika.

Several events take place, such as wine tasting accompanied by traditional dishes, art galas since the area is ideal for painting exhibitions, poetic gatherings and small professional conferences.

The place is open almost all year round, from noon until late at night.
